Personal Information

ZeGid employs the highest levels of encryption to safeguard your personal information, including your identity and confidential account details. Your information is not shared with unauthorized third parties, and ZeGid never sells your information or uses your BVN to access any other bank account(s) you may hold.

Identity Verification

At ZeGid, we take identity verification seriously. We request that all ZeGid account holders provide their BVN (Bank Verification Number) and a valid government-issued ID, such as a driver's license, voter's card, national ID card, or NIN slip. This stringent verification process ensures that everyone using ZeGid is who they claim to be, helping prevent identity fraud.

3D Secure (3DS) Card Payments

For online card payments, ZeGid employs an additional layer of security known as 3D Secure (3DS). When making online card payments, a code is sent to you via SMS and/or email to authorize the transaction, ensuring enhanced security.

Card Control

In case of a lost or stolen card, you can swiftly block or cancel it within the app to prevent unauthorized use.

Transaction Alerts

ZeGid keeps you informed about your account activity by sending real-time alerts in the form of app notifications and emails for all transactions. This keeps you up to date on your financial movements.

Beneficiaries

When sending money to an unsaved beneficiary, ZeGid will prompt you to confirm your intent to make the transfer. This extra step provides you with time to double-check and reduce the risk of falling victim to potential scams, as completed transfers are often irreversible.

Face Identification

The ZeGid app is Face ID options, for an extra layer of security during transaction authorization. This functionality is available if your device is equipped with a camera.

Personal Identification Numbers (PINs)

Every ZeGid accounts is protected by a unique four-digit PIN, which only the account holder should have access to. You can't access your ZeGid account without first setting your sign-in PIN. For added security, your transactions within the app are also safeguarded with a transaction PIN, and your ZeGid Card comes with its distinct four-digit PIN.

Password Security

When you create your ZeGid account, we encourage you to set up a strong password, incorporating a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. This password is vital for securing your account and authorizing any changes you make to your account information.

Facial Recognition

To further enhance security, ZeGid requires account holders to capture a photo of their face during the account setup. This serves as an additional layer of identity confirmation, reducing the risk of identity fraud.

ZeGid is a financial platform, not a bank. Banking services provided by ZeGid's bank partner(s). Debit cards are issued by issuing partners. An account with ZeGid is required to send and receive money.

ZeGid does not store your money or charge you added card without authentication from you. Through ZegidPay’s licenses and partnerships with partner banks, ZeGid is authorized to process deposits and refunds into users bank accounts.
